But thy name

And God said unto Abraham, "Sarai, thy wife, shall no more be called Sarai: but Sara shall her name be.

And he said, "Thou shalt be called Jacob no more, but Israel. For thou hast wrestled with God and with men and hast prevailed."

These are the names of the men which Moses sent to spy out the land. And Moses called the name of Hosea, the son of Nun, Joshua.

And he sent by the hand of Nathan the prophet, and called his name Jedidiah, of the LORD's behalf.

Thou art the LORD, the God that hast chosen Abram, and broughtest him out of Ur in Chaldea, and called him Abraham:

Then shall the Gentiles see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory. Thou shalt be named with a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall show.

Your name shall not be sworn by among my chosen, for God the LORD shall slay you, and call his servants by another name.
