And Jesus immediately knowing in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, said to them, Why do you reason in your minds?

for he had no need that any should testify of man, for he knew what was in man.

Then the female servant, the door-keeper, said to Peter, Are you also one of the disciples of this man? He said, I am not.

And Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. Then they said to him, Are you also one of his disciples? He denied, and said, I am not.

But we know that whatever the law says, it says to those having the law, that every mouth may be stopped and all the world become guilty before God.

and be renewed in the spirit of your minds,

lie not one to another; put off the old man with his doings,

If we say we have not sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
