So it was, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, He remembered Abraham and brought Lot out of the middle of the upheaval when He demolished the cities where Lot had lived.

or my acts of rebellion;

because of Your goodness, Lord.

He remembers His covenant forever,
the promise He ordained
for a thousand generations

For He remembered His holy promise
to Abraham His servant.

Remember me, Lord,
when You show favor to Your people.
Come to me with Your salvation

He remembered us in our humiliation
        His love is eternal.

The Lord guards all those who love Him,
but He destroys all the wicked.

“Then you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good, and you will loathe yourselves for your iniquities and detestable practices.

How can I give you up, Ephraim?
How can I surrender you, Israel?
How can I make you like Admah?
How can I treat you like Zeboiim?
I have had a change of heart;
My compassion is stirred!

and if He rescued righteous Lot, distressed by the unrestrained behavior of the immoral
