So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare children.
Now therefore restore the man's wife. For he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shall live. And if thou do not restore her, know thou that thou shall surely die, thou, and all that are thine.
And LORD saw that Leah was regarded inferior, and he opened her womb, but Rachel was barren.
1 Samuel 5:11
They sent therefore and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and they said, Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go again to its own place, that it not kill us and our people. For there was a deadly dis
that they may offer sacrifices of sweet savor to the God of heaven, and pray for the life of the king, and of his sons.
So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went and did according as LORD commanded them, and LORD accepted Job.
The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to LORD, but the prayer of the upright is his delight.
Thus says LORD, the Holy One of Israel and his maker: Ask me of the things that are to come concerning my sons. And command ye me concerning the work of my hands.
Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and ye will find. Knock, and it will be opened to you.
And all things, as many as ye may ask in prayer, believing, ye will receive.
And also all the prophets from Samuel and those in succession, as many as spoke, also proclaimed these days.
Be anxious about nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thankfulness make your requests known to God.
1 Thessalonians 5:25
Brothers, pray about us.
Confess ye the trespasses to each other, and pray for each other so that ye may be healed. A working supplication of a righteous man is very powerful.
