And Abraham said unto his eldest servant of his house, that ruled over all that he had, Put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh:
But Abram said, “Lord God, what can You give me, since I am childless and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?”

The elders who are good leaders should be considered worthy of an ample honorarium,
especially those who work hard at preaching and teaching.
The servant took 10 of his master’s camels and departed with all kinds of his master’s goods in hand. Then he set out for Nahor’s town Aram-naharaim.
Joseph found favor in his master’s sight
and became his personal attendant. Potiphar also put him in charge of his household and placed all that he owned under his authority.
Then Joseph commanded his steward: “Fill the men’s bags with as much food as they can carry, and put each one’s money at the top of his bag.
So the servant placed his hand under his master Abraham’s thigh and swore an oath to him concerning this matter.
When the time drew near for him to die,
he called his son Joseph and said to him, “If I have found favor in your eyes, put your hand under my thigh and promise me that you will deal with me in kindness and faithfulness. Do not bury me in Egypt.
