Genesis 28:16

Jacob awakened out of his sleep, and he said, "Surely the LORD is in this place, and I did not know it."

He said, "Do not come close. Take your sandals off of your feet, for the place you are standing on is holy ground."

The commander of the LORD's army said to Joshua, "Take your shoes off of your feet; for the place on which you stand is holy." Joshua did so.

Who is like you, LORD, among the gods? Who is like you, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

that the LORD called Samuel; and he said, "Here I am."

Behold, he goes by me, and I do not see him. He passes on also, but I do not perceive him.

For God speaks once, yes twice, though man pays no attention.

You are awesome, God, in your sanctuaries. The God of Israel gives strength and power to his people. Praise be to God.

The LORD of hosts is who you must regard as holy. He is the one you must fear. He is the one you must dread.
