So there was a great famine in Samaria, and they continued the siege against it until a donkey’s head sold for 80 silver shekels, and a cup of dove’s dung sold for five silver shekels.

The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah concerning the drought:

ג GimelEven jackals offer their breasts
to nurse their young,
but my dear people have become cruel
like ostriches in the wilderness.

Go unto

You will be over my house, and all my people will obey your commands.

Only with regard to the throne will I be greater than you.”

The king sent for him and released him;
the ruler of peoples set him free.

And there came a voice from heaven:

This is My beloved Son.
I take delight in Him!

While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said:

This is My beloved Son.
I take delight in Him.
Listen to Him!

The Word became flesh

and took up residence among us.
We observed His glory,
the glory as the One and Only Son from the Father,
full of grace and truth.

And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

For God was pleased to have
all His fullness dwell in Him,
