Jacob Blesses His Twelve Sons

¹³ Zebulun will live by the coast. He will have ships by the coast. His border will go as far as Sidon. ¹⁴ “Issachar is a strong donkey,
Lying down between the sheepfolds.
¹⁵ When he sees that his resting place is good and that the land is pleasant, he will bend his back to the burden and will become a slave laborer.

Genesis 30:18

Leah said: God has given me my reward, because I gave my slave to my husband. So she named him Issachar.

1 Chronicles 12:32

From the tribe of Issachar, there were two hundred leaders of the tribe with their relatives. All these men understood the temper of the times and knew the best course for Israel to take.
