This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created -- when the Lord God made the earth and heavens.

This is the record of the family line of Adam. When God created humankind, he made them in the likeness of God.

The Lord said to Noah, "Come into the ark, you and all your household, for I consider you godly among this generation.

I am a laughingstock to my friends, I, who called on God and whom he answered -- a righteous and blameless man is a laughingstock!

But the path of the righteous is like the bright morning light, growing brighter and brighter until full day.

For there is not one truly righteous person on the earth who continually does good and never sins.

Even if these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they would save only their own lives by their righteousness, declares the sovereign Lord.

Look, the one whose desires are not upright will faint from exhaustion, but the person of integrity will live because of his faithfulness.

Now there was a man in Jerusalem named Simeon who was righteous and devout, looking for the restoration of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.

For the righteousness of God is revealed in the gospel from faith to faith, just as it is written, "The righteous by faith will live."

Now it is clear no one is justified before God by the law, because the righteous one will live by faith.

By faith Noah, when he was warned about things not yet seen, with reverent regard constructed an ark for the deliverance of his family. Through faith he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.

After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked with God for 300 years, and he had other sons and daughters.
