These are the family records of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among his contemporaries; Noah walked with God.

Now the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him—
those who depend on His faithful love

Blessings are on the head of the righteous,
but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.

Wealth is not profitable on a day of wrath,
but righteousness rescues from death.

Tell the righteous that it will go well for them,
for they will eat the fruit of their labor.

so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God who are faultless in a crooked and perverted generation, among whom you shine like stars in the world.

and if He didn’t spare the ancient world, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others,

when He brought a flood on the world of the ungodly;
