Moses said to the people, "Do not fear! Stand firm and see the salvation of the Lord that he will provide for you today; for the Egyptians that you see today you will never, ever see again.
Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the Lord. They said, "I will sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously, the horse and its rider he has thrown into the sea.
O God, when you lead your people into battle, when you march through the desert, (Selah)

You led your people like a flock of sheep, by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
Then you spoke through a vision to your faithful followers and said: "I have energized a warrior; I have raised up a young man from the people.
Moses and Aaron were among his priests; Samuel was one of those who prayed to him. They prayed to the Lord and he answered them.
saying, "Don't touch my chosen ones! Don't harm my prophets!"
His people remembered the ancient times. Where is the one who brought them up out of the sea, along with the shepherd of his flock? Where is the one who placed his holy Spirit among them,

Thou woundedst

It happened at midnight -- the Lord attacked all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the prison, and all the firstborn of the cattle.
As they fled from Israel on the slope leading down from Beth Horon, the Lord threw down on them large hailstones from the sky, all the way to Azekah. They died -- in fact, more died from the hailstones than the Israelites killed with the sword.
The Lord handed them over to Israel and they struck them down and chased them all the way to Greater Sidon, Misrephoth Maim, and the Mizpah Valley to the east. They struck them down until no survivors remained.
I chase my enemies and catch them; I do not turn back until I wipe them out.
Indeed God strikes the heads of his enemies, the hairy foreheads of those who persist in rebellion.
You destroyed the sea by your strength; you shattered the heads of the sea monster in the water.
He executes judgment against the nations; he fills the valleys with corpses; he shatters their heads over the vast battlefield.
