They desire

Now those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a homeland.

Instead, you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God (the heavenly Jerusalem), to myriads of angels in festive gathering,

For the One who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers,

To be

I will keep My covenant between Me and you, and your future offspring throughout their generations, as an everlasting covenant to be your God and the God of your offspring after you.

Then He continued, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” Moses hid his face because he was afraid to look at God.

But you, Israel, My servant,
Jacob, whom I have chosen,
descendant of Abraham, My friend—

“At that time”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they will be My people.”

Now concerning the resurrection of the dead, haven’t you read what was spoken to you by God:

Now concerning the dead being raised—haven’t you read in the book of Moses, in the passage about the burning bush, how God spoke to him: I

am the God of Abraham

and the God of Isaac

and the God of Jacob?

Moses even indicated in the passage about the burning bush that the dead are raised, where he calls the Lord the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.

I am the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob.

So Moses began to tremble and did not dare to look.
