Treasury of Scripture Knowledge
For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.
He also prepared some tasty food and brought it to his father. Esau said to him, "My father, get up and eat some of your son's wild game. Then you can bless me."
But if it produces thorns and thistles, it is useless and about to be cursed; its fate is to be burned.
However, because I called but you refused to listen, because I stretched out my hand but no one paid attention,
They are regarded as 'rejected silver' because the Lord rejects them."
Then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you. Go away from me, you lawbreakers!'
Later, the other virgins came too, saying, 'Lord, lord! Let us in!'
"Exert every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.
For it is impossible in the case of those who have once been enlightened, tasted the heavenly gift, become partakers of the Holy Spirit,
For if we deliberately keep on sinning after receiving the knowledge of the truth, no further sacrifice for sins is left for us,
Esau said to his father, "Do you have only that one blessing, my father? Bless me too!" Then Esau wept loudly.
Then you came back and wept before the Lord, but he paid no attention to you whatsoever.
In the day he divides his inheritance he must not appoint as firstborn the son of the favorite wife in place of the other wife's son who is actually the firstborn.
