Thus the Jews struck all their enemies with the sword, killing and destroying; and they did what they pleased to those who hated them.

He will snatch you up and tear you away from your tent,

And makes flesh his strength,

I have brought him, and He will make his ways successful.

“For this the earth shall mourn
And the heavens above be dark,
Because I have spoken, I have purposed,
And I will not change My mind, nor will I turn from it.”

appeased; then they will know that I, the Lord, have spoken in My zeal when I have spent My wrath upon them.
