Summary

Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.

As a tempest

For ye comfort yourselves thus: "Tush, we have made a covenant with death, and with hell we are at an agreement. Though there break out any sore plague, it shall not come upon us. For with deceit will we escape, and with nimbleness will we defend ourselves."
Behold, the Lord shall bring mighty and great floods of water upon them: namely, the king of the Assyrians with all his power. Which shall pour out his furiousness upon every man, and run over all their banks.
For thou art the poor man's help, and strength for the needful in his necessity. Thou art a defense against evil weather and a shadow against the heat, when the blast of the raging men is like a storm that casteth down a wall.
Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of Hosts with thunder, earthquake, and with a great noise, with the whirlwind, tempest, and with the flame of a consuming fire.
The LORD also shall set up the power of his voice, and declare his terrible arm, with his angry countenance; yea, and the flame of the consuming fire, with earthquake, tempest of wind, and hailstones.
Therefore tell them which daub it with untempered mortar, that it shall fall. For there shall come a great shower of rain, great stones shall fall upon it, and a sore storm of wind shall break it.
when the flood runneth over, and destroyeth the place; and when the darkness followeth still upon his enemies.
And abundance of rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that same house, and it fell not: because it was grounded on the rock.
Therefore shall her plagues come at one day; death, and sorrow, and hunger, and she shall be burnt with fire: for strong is the Lord God which judgeth her.
