therefore look, I am again doing something spectacular and a spectacle with this spectacular people. And the wisdom of its wise men shall perish, and the discernment of its discerning ones shall keep itself hidden."

And he said, "Go and say to this people, 'Keep on listening and do not comprehend! And keep on looking and do not understand!'

Let their eyes be dark so they cannot see, and make their loins continually tremble.

saying, 'Go to this people and say, "{You will keep on hearing} and will never understand, and {you will keep on seeing} and will never perceive.

just as it is written, "God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that do not see and ears that do not hear, until this very day."

And the prophet, if he is deceived and he speaks a word, I Yahweh, I have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand against him, and I will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.
