Isaiah 38:11

I said, "I shall not see Yah! Yah in the land of the living! I shall no more look at humankind among [the] inhabitants of [the] world.

Surely I believe [that I will] see the goodness of Yahweh in [the] land of [the] living.

{How much less} [when] you say [that] you do not see him, that [the] case [is] {before him}, and you are waiting for him!

Turn, O Yahweh; deliver my life. Save me for the sake of your steadfast love.

As for me, I said in my alarm, "I am cut off from before your eyes." However you heard the voice of my supplications when I cried to you for help.

For you have rescued me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.

For the living know that they will die, but the dead do not know anything. They no longer have a reward, and even the memory of them is forgotten.

Treasury of Scripture Knowledge
