For my name's sake will I defer mine anger, and for my praise will I refrain for thee, that I cut thee not off.
For my own sake, even for my own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be profaned? and I will not give my glory unto another.
For I will defend this city to save it for my own sake, and for my servant David's sake.
I, even I, am he that blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and will not remember your sins.
For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land shall hear of it, and shall surround us, and cut off our name from the earth: and what will you do for your great name?

For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name's sake: because it has pleased the LORD to make you his people.

The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in mercy.
The discretion of a man delays his anger; and it is his glory to overlook a transgression.
But I had pity because of my holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations, where they went.
