Isaiah 49:14

But Zion said, "The LORD has forsaken me, and the Lord has forgotten me."

Why do you say, Jacob, and speak, Israel, "My way is hidden from the LORD, and the justice due me is disregarded by my God?"

How long, LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?

My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning?

As for me, I said in my haste, "I am cut off from before your eyes." Nevertheless you heard the voice of my petitions when I cried to you.

I remember my song in the night. I consider in my own heart; my spirit diligently inquires:

But you have rejected and spurned. You have been angry with your anointed.

therefore, behold, I will surely lift you up and I will cast you off, and the city that I gave to you and to your fathers, away from my presence:

Why do you keep on forgetting us? Why do you forsake us so long?

I ask then, has God rejected his people? May it never be. For I also am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
