Isaiah 49:14

Zion replied: Jehovah has forsaken me and Jehovah has forgotten me!

Why do you say, O Jacob, and complain, O Israel: 'My way is hidden from Jehovah! My God disregards my cause?'

([Psalm of David]) How long, O Jehovah? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?

([Psalm of David]) My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far away from my deliverance, so far away from the words of my moaning?

When I was panic-stricken, I said: I have been cut off from your sight. But you heard my pleas for mercy when I cried out to you for help.

I remember my song in the night. I consider in my own heart; my spirit diligently inquires:

But you have despised, rejected, and become angry with your anointed one.

I will certainly pick you up and throw you far away from me, both you and the city that I gave to you and your ancestors.

Why have we gone from your memory forever? Why have you turned away from us for so long?

I ask has God rejected his people? Certainly not! I also am an Israelite, a descendant of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
