For thus says the LORD: "To the eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths, who choose the things that please me and hold fast my covenant,

Keep hold of instruction; do not let go; guard her, for she is your life.

It is good that you should take hold of this, and from that withhold not your hand, for the one who fears God shall come out from both of them.

"If you turn back your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight and the holy day of the LORD honorable; if you honor it, not going your own ways, or seeking your own pleasure, or talking idly;

"You are to speak to the people of Israel and say, 'Above all you shall keep my Sabbaths, for this is a sign between me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I, the LORD, sanctify you.

I hold back my feet from every evil way, in order to keep your word.

Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil.

One who is wise is cautious and turns away from evil, but a fool is reckless and careless.

By steadfast love and faithfulness iniquity is atoned for, and by the fear of the LORD one turns away from evil.

Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.
