Thou meetest him that rejoiceth, and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold, thou art wroth; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be saved.

An altar of earth thou shalt make to me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt-offerings, and thy peace-offerings, thy sheep, and thy oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come to thee, and I will bless thee.

And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy-seat, from between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment to the children of Israel.

This shall be a continual burnt-offering throughout your generations at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD: where I will meet you to speak there to thee.

And thou shalt put it before the vail that is by the ark of the testimony, before the mercy-seat that is over the testimony, where I will meet with thee.

All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth to such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he will give thee the desires of thy heart.

For we are consumed by thy anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.

But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness to children's children;

Yes, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee.

Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.

I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus; Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed to the yoke: turn thou me, and I shall be turned; for thou art the LORD my God.

Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he will come to us as the rain, as the latter and former rain to the earth.

How shall I give thee up, Ephraim? how shall I deliver thee, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? how shall I set thee as Zeboim? my heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together.

For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, who gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God always.

But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forward to those things which are before,

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
