If

For where there are jealousy and contention, there is confusion and every vile deed.

Whence are wars, and whence are battles among you? Are they not hence, even of your pleasures that war in your members?

But, if ye bite and devour one another, beware, lest ye be consumed by one another.

Some, indeed, preach Christ even because of envy and strife; and some also of good-will;

doing nothing through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind, each esteeming others better than himself;

he has become puffed up, knowing nothing, but morbid about questions and word-battles, out of which come envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

For we also were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving manifold desires and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

Having, therefore, put away all wickedness, and all guile, and hypocrisy, and envies, and all evil speakings,

Glory

But, if you are called a Jew, and are resting upon the law, and are boasting in God,

For who makes you to differ? And what do you have, that you did not receive? But, if you did receive it, why are you boasting, as if you did not receive it?

And ye have become puffed up, and did not rather mourn, that he who did this deed might be taken away from you.

For neither do those themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but they wish you to be circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.

And lie

They will put you out of the synagogues; yea, an hour is coming, that every one who kills you will think that he is offering service to God.

I, verily, therefore, imagined to myself that it was proper that I should do many things contrary to the name of Jesus, the Nazarene;
