James 4:7

Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Then the tempter approached Him and said, “If You are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”

for 40 days to be tempted by the Devil. He ate nothing during those days, and when they were over, He was hungry.

and don’t give the Devil an opportunity.

Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the tactics of the Devil.

Be serious! Be alert! Your adversary the Devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for anyone he can devour.

So the great dragon was thrown out—the ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan,

the one who deceives the whole world. He was thrown to earth, and his angels with him.

After the Devil had finished every temptation, he departed from Him for a time.
