I said, Lord Jehovah, you have greatly deceived these people and Jerusalem. You said that everything would go well for them, but a sword is held at their throats (threatens their lives).

I said: Alas, O Lord Jehovah, prophets are telling them: 'You will not see wars or famines, for I will give you lasting peace in this place.

Ah Lord Jehovah! You have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for you.

I cannot

Moses responded: What if they will not believe me or listen to what I say? For they may say: 'Jehovah has not appeared to you.'

But Moses replied: I am not a powerful speaker. If the sons of Israel will not listen to me, why should the king of Egypt?

Woe to me! I cried. I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips (a sinner) and I live among a people of unclean (filthy) lips (speech) (language). My eyes have seen the King, Jehovah of Hosts.

O Jehovah God, you allowed me to succeed my father as king, even though I am very young and do not know how to rule.
