Jeremiah 14:15

I did not send these prophets. Yet, they prophesy in my name that there will be no wars or famines in this land. So this is what I, Jehovah, say about them: 'Wars and famines will bring an end to these prophets.

They lied about Jehovah. They said: It is not he, bad things will not happen to us. We will not see sword or famine.

Both of you will suffer for your sins. The prophet will be as guilty as you are when you ask for his help.

There arose false prophets among the people. There will be false teachers among you! They will privately bring in destructive heresies (contrary doctrines), denying even the Master who bought them. They bring swift destruction on themselves.

2 Peter 2:14-17

They have eyes full of adultery that cannot cease from sin! They entice unsteady persons. Their hearts are full of covetousness. They are children of cursing.
