A Series Of Messages For The House Of The King Of Judah

⁷ I will prepare destroyers against you, everyone with his weapons; and they shall cut down your choice cedars, and cast them into the fire. ⁸ Many nations shall pass by this city, and they shall say every man to his neighbor, Why has Yahweh done thus to this great city? ⁹ Then they shall answer, Because they forsook the covenant of Yahweh their God, and worshiped other gods, and served them.

Though this house is so high, yet shall everyone who passes by it be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, 'Why has Yahweh done thus to this land, and to this house?'

2 Chronicles 7:20-22

then I will pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have made holy for my name, I will cast out of my sight, and I will make it a proverb and a byword among all peoples.

Deuteronomy 29:23-26

Jeremiah 16:10

It shall happen, when you shall show this people all these words, and they shall tell you, Why has Yahweh pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against Yahweh our God?
