Jeremiah 23:11

The Unfaithful Prophets

¹⁰ For the land is full of adulterers. Yes, because of cursing the land mourns; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their power is not right. ¹¹ For both prophet and priest are ungodly; yes, in My house I have found their evil, says Jehovah. ¹² So their way shall be to them as slippery ways in the darkness; they shall be driven on, and fall in them; for I will bring evil on them, even the year of their judgment, says Jehovah.

Jeremiah 6:13

For everyone from the least of them even to the greatest of them cuts off a profit; and from the prophet even to the priest everyone deals falsely.

Zephaniah 3:4

Her prophets are proud, men of deceit; her priests have defiled the sanctuary; they have done violence to the Law.

Jeremiah 7:30

For the sons of Judah have done evil in My sight, says Jehovah. They have set their abominations in the house which is called by My name, in order to defile it.

Therefore I will give their wives to others, and their fields to those who shall inherit them, for everyone from the least even to the greatest cuts off a profit. From the prophet even to the priest everyone deals falsely.

Jeremiah 5:31

The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so, and what will you do at the end of it?

Ezekiel 7:20
