I was naked and you clothed me. I was sick and you visited me. I was in prison and you came to me.'

Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to care for the fatherless persons and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself without spot from the world.

If any of my people or a prophet or a priest even uses the words: 'Jehovah's infallable utterance,' I will punish them and their families.

Were they ashamed because of the abomination they had done? They certainly were not ashamed! And they did not know how to blush. For that reason they will fall among those who fall. At the time of their punishment they will be brought down, Says Jehovah.

This is what Jehovah of Hosts says: I am going to punish them. The young men will die by the sword because of war. Their sons and daughters will die by famine.

What will you say when God makes the people you thought were your friends your new masters? Will pain grip you like a woman in labor?

I will punish her for the days in which she burned incense to the Baals, when she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and went after her lovers, and forgot me, said Jehovah.

The best of them is as a brier. The most upright is worse than a thorn hedge! Your watchmen's day has come. Your visitation has come. Now you will be perplexed.
