38 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the city shall be built to the LORD from the tower of Hananeel unto the gate of the corner.

38 “Look, the days are coming”—the Lord’s declaration—“when the city(i) from the Tower of Hananel(AL) to the Corner Gate(AM) will be rebuilt for the Lord.

38 "Look, days are coming," declares the LORD, "when the city of the LORD will be rebuilt from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate.

39 And the measuring line shall yet go forth before it unto the hill Gareb, and shall turn toward Goath.

39 "The measuring line will go out farther straight ahead to the hill Gareb; then it will turn to Goah.

39 And the measuring line shall yet go forth over against it upon the hill Gareb, and shall compass about to Goath.

39 A measuring line will once again stretch out straight to the hill of Gareb(AN) and then turn toward Goah.

39 A measuring line will go straight out from there to the hill of Gareb, and then it will turn to Goah.

40 And the whole valley of the dead bodies, and of the ashes, and all the fields unto the torrent Kidron, unto the corner of the horse-gate toward the east, shall be holy unto Jehovah: it shall not be plucked up, nor overthrown any more for ever.

40 "And the whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields as far as the brook Kidron, to the corner of the Horse Gate toward the east, shall be holy to the LORD; it will not be plucked up or overthrown anymore forever."

40 And the whole valley of the dead bodies, and of the ashes, and all the fields unto the brook of Kidron, unto the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy unto the LORD; it shall not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more for ever.

40 The whole valley—the corpses, the ashes, and all the fields as far as the Kidron Valley(AO) to the corner of the Horse Gate(AP) to the east—will be holy to the Lord. It will never be uprooted or demolished again.”

40 The whole valley of dead bodies and ashes and all the fields as far as the Brook Kidron to the corner of the Horse Gate toward the east will be holy to the LORD. It won't be uprooted or overthrown again, forever."
