God's Covenant With David

¹⁵ Behold, the days will come saith the LORD, that I will stir up unto David a righteous branch, and he shall reign a king, and shall be wise, and shall do equity and justice in the earth. ¹⁶ And in his days Judah shall be safe, and Israel shall dwell without fear. And this is the name that they shall call him: 'The LORD our righteousness.' ¹⁷ "For thus the LORD promiseth: David shall never want one to sit upon the stool of the house of Israel:

Jeremiah 23:6
