then also may My covenant with David My servant be broken, that he should not have a son to reign on his throne, and My covenant with the Levites the priests, My ministers.

For Jehovah will not cast off His people, nor will He forsake His inheritance.

I say then, Did not God put away His people? Let it not be said! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.

You make us a curse to our neighbors, a scorn and a mockery to those who are round about us.

And say to the Ammonites, Hear the Word of the Lord Jehovah. So says the Lord Jehovah: Because you said, Aha, against My sanctuary when it was defiled, and against the land of Israel when it was ruined, and against the house of Judah when they went into captivity;

Son of man, because Tyre has said against Jerusalem, Aha! She is shattered, the doors of the peoples, she has turned to me; I shall be filled; she is laid waste.

Because you have said, These two nations and these two lands shall be mine, and we shall possess it; yet Jehovah was there;

So says the Lord Jehovah: Because the enemy has said against you, Aha! Even the old high places have become a possession to us.
