Jeremiah 25:6
Do not follow other gods to serve and worship them. Do not make me furious about the idols your hands have shaped. Then I will not harm you.
Deuteronomy 32:16
They made God furious because they worshiped foreign gods and angered him (stirred up his zeal) because they worshiped worthless idols.
2 Kings 17:15

A curse
Jeremiah 44:12
As for the people of Judah who are left and are determined to go and live in Egypt, I will see to it that all of them are destroyed. All of them, great and small will die in Egypt, either in war or of starvation. They will be a horrifying sight. People will make fun of them and use their name as a curse.
