Why should your soldiers be cut down? They cannot stand because Jehovah will push them down.

Run for your lives! The angels warned. Do not stop and do not look behind you! Escape to the mountains, or you will die.

Jehovah made the Syrians hear what sounded like the advance of a large army with horses and chariots. The Syrians thought that the king of Israel had hired Hittite and Egyptian kings and their armies to attack them.

Nineveh has been from of old like a pool of water: yet they flee away. Stand, stand, they cry; but none looks back.

Fear

Do not go out into the field. Do not walk on the road. The enemy has a sword and terror is on every side.

A time is coming when the people of Egypt will be as timid as women. They will tremble in terror when they see that Jehovah of Hosts has stretched out his hand (extended His power) to punish them.

I will make many peoples astonished at you. Their kings will be dreadfully afraid of you when I brandish my sword before them. They will tremble every moment, every man for his own life, on the day of your fall.'
