A Message Concerning Damascus

²⁶ Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets, and all the men of war shall be cut off in that day, says the LORD of hosts. ²⁷  And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall consume the palaces of Ben-hadad. ²⁸ Concerning Kedar, and concerning the kingdoms of Hazor, which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon shall strike, thus says the LORD; Arise, go up to Kedar, and plunder the men of the east.

And I will kindle a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt; and he shall burn them, and carry them away captives: and he shall array himself with the land of Egypt, as a shepherd puts on his garment; and he shall go forth from there in peace.
