Job 11:3

Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?

"But you {whitewash with lies}; all of you [are] {worthless healers}.

"Should [the] wise answer [with] windy knowledge, and should he fill his stomach [with the] east wind?

"And if [it is] not [so], then who can prove me a liar and reduce my word to nothing?"

I am a laughingstock to my friends: '[He] calls on God, and he answers him.' A righteous, blameless man [is] a laughingstock.

[Will it be] well, if he examines you? Or can you deceive him like deceiving a human being?

{Surely} mockery [is] with me, and my eye {rests} on their provocation.

What man [is] like Job, who drinks scorn like water?

Among [the] ungodly of the mockers at feasts, [they] gnashed at me with their teeth.

I sat not in the assembly of jokers, [nor did] I exult. Because of the {presence} of your hand I sat alone, for you filled me [with] indignation.

for they said to you, "In the end time there will be scoffers following according to their own ungodly desires."

Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek your name, O Yahweh.

But if anyone does not obey our message through this letter, take note not to associate with him, in order that he may be put to shame.

sound message beyond reproach, in order that {an opponent} may be put to shame, [because he] has nothing bad to say concerning us.

"Will you speak falsely for God? And will you speak deceitfully for him?

And he goes on the road in company with instigators of mischief, and walks with men of wickedness.
