Job 14:6

So look away from him and let him alone, till he has put in his time like a hired man.

How long will you keep looking at me and let me alone till I swallow my spittle?

Look away from me so that I may smile again before I go away and am no more.

Is this not the struggle of all humanity? A person's life is long and hard like that of a hired hand.

I hate my life. I do not want to go on living. Oh, leave me alone for these few remaining days.

Are not my days few in number? Turn away from me so I can have a moment's joy
