I have heard many such things. You are all miserable comforters!

Is tasteless food eaten without salt? Is there flavor in the white root of the marshmallow plant (or the white of an egg)?

Honest words are so painful! But what do your arguments prove?

Are all these words to go unanswered? Is this talker to be vindicated?

You are smearing me with lies. As doctors you are worthless, all of you!

How long will you torment me and depress me with words?

How you have helped one who has no power! How you have assisted the arm that has no strength!

For they persecute him whom you have wounded. They tell of the sorrow of those whom you have hurt.

The latter ones do it out of love, knowing that I am set (appointed) (placed here) for the defense of the good news.

You know this, my beloved brothers. But let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger.
