I have said to corruption, Thou art my father: to the worm, Thou art my mother, and my sister.

When they are carried to the grave, a watch is kept over their tomb.

You do not abandon me to the grave or allow your holy one to decay.

so they should live forever and never see the grave (pit) (destruction).

Because you will not leave me in the grave, neither will you allow your Holy One to see corruption. (Psalm 16:10)

He raised him up from the dead, never to decay. It is stated in these words: I will give you the sure blessings promised David. (Isaiah 55:3)

So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption. It is raised in incorruption.

Even after my skin is gone and this body destroyed, I will see God in my own flesh.

The womb forgets them. The worm finds them sweet. They are no longer remembered. Wickedness is broken like a tree.

Your pride has been brought down to the grave along with the music of your harps. Maggots are spread out like a bed under you, and worms cover you.'

My heart turned to grief over all for which I had labored and all my wisdom under the sun.

I thought that in the prime of my life I would go down to the gates of the grave and be robbed of the rest of my life.
