When he set the rain in order, and gave the mighty floods a law;

"Who divideth the abundance of waters into rivers, or who maketh a way for the stormy weather,

He governeth everything under the heaven, and his light reacheth unto the end of the world.

Behold, so great is God, that he passeth our knowledge; neither are we able to come to the experience of his years.

In the turning of a hand he hideth the light, and at his commandment it cometh again.

The clouds do their labour in getting moistness, the clouds pour down the rain.

to make the grass grow in places where no body dwelleth, and in the wilderness where no man remaineth?

It is the LORD that commandeth the waters: It is the glorious God that maketh the thunder. It is the LORD that ruleth the sea.

Are there any among the gods of the Gentiles, that send rain or give the showers of heaven? Dost not thou it, O LORD our God, in whom we trust? Yea LORD, thou dost all these things."

When there were but three months unto the harvest, I withheld the rain from you. Yea, I rained upon one city, and not upon another; one piece of ground was moistured with rain, and the ground that I rained not upon, was dry.

Pray the LORD then betimes to give you the latter rain, so shall the LORD make clouds, and give you rain enough for all the increase of the field:
