Job 33:27

What fruit had you therefore then in things of which you are now ashamed? for the end of them is death.

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his life? Or what will a man give as an exchange for his life?

I will arise and go to my father, and say to him, Father, I have sinned to Heaven, and before you;

And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up his eyes to heaven, but smote on his breast, saying, God, be propitious to me a sinner.

The law therefore is holy, and the commandment holy and righteous and good.

But if what I wish not this I do, I consent to the law that it is good;

for I consent to the law of God as to my inward man, [my soul],

If we say we have not sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
