Job 36:8

And if they be bound in fetters, and be taken in the cords of afflictions,

[even] those who sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron,

His own iniquities shall take a wicked man, and he shall be held with the cords of his sin.

Thou also put my feet in the stocks, and mark all my paths. Thou set a bound to the soles of my feet.

know now that God has subverted me, and has encompassed me with his net.

He keeps back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.

The cords of Sheol were round about me. The snares of death came upon me.

The cords of death encompassed me, and the pains of Sheol got hold upon me. I found trouble and sorrow.

He has walled up my ways with hewn stone. He has made my paths crooked.
