For God speaks once, yea twice, yet man perceives it not.

But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, you are but a dead man, for the woman that you have taken; for she is a man's wife.

And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.

And God came to Laban the Aramean in a dream by night, and said unto him, Take heed that you speak not to Jacob either good or bad.

And God spoke unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I.

And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.

Now therefore, I pray you, tarry you also here this night, that I may know what more the LORD will say unto me.

Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.

I saw a dream which made me afraid, and the thoughts upon my bed and the visions of my head troubled me.

Deep sleep

And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up its place with flesh;

And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, a horror of great darkness fell upon him.

Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep with my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright.

Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, with my face toward the ground.
