Thy fear

There was a man in the country of Uz named Job. He was a man of perfect integrity, who feared God and turned away from evil.

“Please Lord, remember how I have walked before You faithfully and wholeheartedly and have done what pleases You.”

And Hezekiah wept bitterly.

Thy confidence

Even if He kills me, I will hope in Him.
I will still defend my ways before Him.

for the Lord will be your confidence
and will keep your foot from a snare.

In the fear of the Lord one has strong confidence
and his children have a refuge.

Thy hope

where then is my hope?
Who can see any hope for me?

Therefore, with your minds ready for action,

be serious and set your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

The uprightness

Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job? No one else on earth is like him, a man of perfect integrity, who fears God and turns away from evil.”

although my hands are free from violence
and my prayer is pure.

My feet have followed in His tracks;
I have kept to His way and not turned aside.

I will never affirm that you are right.
I will maintain my integrity

until I die.

For I rescued the poor man who cried out for help,
and the fatherless child who had no one to support him.
