Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him concerning all the evil that Jehovah had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one a ring of gold.

Now when Job's three friends heard of all this evil that was come upon him, they came every one from his own place: Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite, and they made an appointment together to come to bemoan him and to comfort him.

And it came to pass, as the camels had done drinking, that the man took a golden ring of half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of gold,

And the servant brought forth jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment, and gave them to Rebekah. He gave also to her brother and to her mother precious things.

And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him; but he refused to be comforted; and he said, For I will go down to Sheol to my son mourning. And his father wept for him.

And the bones of Joseph, which the children of Israel brought up out of Egypt, buried they in Shechem, in the parcel of ground which Jacob bought of the sons of Hamor the father of Shechem for a hundred pieces of money: and they became the inheritance of the children of Joseph.

But certain worthless fellows said, How shall this man save us? And they despised him, and brought him no present. But he held his peace.

Thy words have upholden him that was falling, And thou hast made firm the feeble knees.

Did I say, Give unto me? Or, Offer a present for me of your substance?

But I would strengthen you with my mouth, And the solace of my lips would assuage your grief .

He hath put my brethren far from me, And mine acquaintance are wholly estranged from me.

When a man's ways please Jehovah, He maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.

Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.

and many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary, to console them concerning their brother.

Rejoice with them that rejoice; weep with them that weep.

And whether one member suffereth, all the members suffer with it; or one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.

Wherefore lift up the hands that hang down, and the palsied knees;

Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; them that are illtreated, as being yourselves also in the body.
