For I eat ashes like bread and mingle tears with my drink,

Then I said, "Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, I have never defiled myself.From my youth up till now I have never eaten what died of itself or was torn by beasts, nor has tainted meat come into my mouth."

"Son of man, eat your bread with quaking, and drink water with trembling and with anxiety.

I ate no delicacies, no meat or wine entered my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, for the full three weeks.
