He answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

You are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant which God made with your fathers, saying to Abraham, 'And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.'

"Brethren, sons of the family of Abraham, and those among you that fear God, to us has been sent the message of this salvation.

I am speaking the truth in Christ, I am not lying; my conscience bears me witness in the Holy Spirit,

For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the circumcised to show God's truth, to confirm the promises made to the patriarchs,

But when the time had fully come, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

And

He testifies to what he has seen and heard; yet no one receives his testimony.

But his citizens hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying, 'We do not want this man to reign over us.'

Then the owner of the vineyard said, 'What shall I do? I will send my beloved son; perhaps they will respect him.'

"You stiff-necked people, uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit. You are doing just as your fathers did.
