This beginning of the signs Jesus made in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed in him.

Jesus saith to her, Did I not tell thee, that if thou wouldst believe, thou shouldst see the glory of God?

"He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; lest they should see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and turn from their ways, and I should heal them."

Jesus saith to him, Have I been so long time with you, and dost thou not know me, Philip? He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; how is it that thou sayest, Show us the Father?

No one hath ever seen God; the only begotten God, who is in the bosom of the Father, he hath made him known.

For God so loved the world, that he gave the only begotten Son, that every one who believeth in him may not perish, but may have everlasting life.

God hath fulfilled to us their children, in raising up Jesus [from the dead]; as it is also written in the first Psalm: "Thou art my Son; I have this day begotten thee."

For to which of the angels did he ever say: "Thou art my Son, I this day have begotten thee?" and again: "I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?"

Thus Christ did not glorify himself to be made highpriest, but he who said to him, "Thou art my Son, I this day have begotten thee;"

In this was manifested the love of God in regard to us, that God hath sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we may live through him.
