The Prologue To John's Gospel

³ All things were made by Him, and without Him nothing was made, that has been made. ⁴ In Him was life, and the life was the light of the men. ⁵ And the light shineth in the darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not.

John 5:26

For as the Father hath life in Himself, so also He has given to His Son to have life also in Himself.
