John 11:3

So the sisters sent this message to Jesus, "Lord, listen! the one you love so well is sick."

Now Jesus held in loving esteem Martha and her sister and Lazarus.

So the Jews said, "See how tenderly He loved him!"

Now a man was sick; it was Lazarus who lived in Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha.

He said this, and after that He added, "Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I am going there to wake him."

One of the disciples, whom Jesus specially loved, was sitting very close to Jesus at His right.

for he has been longing to see you and has been homesick because you have heard that he was sick.

Erastus stayed in Corinth; I left Trophimus sick at Miletus.

For He disciplines everyone He loves, and chastises every son whom He heartily receives."

Is anyone sick among you? He should call in the elders of the church, and they should pray over him, and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord,

The people whom I dearly love, I always reprove and discipline. So keep on being earnest and once for all repent.
